Holaaaaa....
After some fierce campaign in Indonesia capital’s gubernatorial election, today is the D-Day of people lining up at the polling ballot booths. The quick count has stated the incumbent and another candidate No. 3 will be going to the second round. Well, I just hope the next round will not be inserted by any black campaign, some racist issues, and religion attack to the minority as a target. I am just trying to be more realistic and not so that conservative facing the problematic town I see these days.
I actually want to tell the whole story of my last trip to Kalimantan and Sulawesi back in January. I was having my consecutive leave for this fiscal year and that would be expired by the end of March. Neither did I ever expect that I would end up in Kalimantan nor Sulawesi.
So the story began when I begged to my parents to buy a ticket to South Korea. They then told me whom I went to be going with. I simply said, I could go with Mas Asong. Then my dad asked me what the other ticket promo options were. Gue bilang, "Banyak, Pak ada yang ke Korea Selatan, Jepang, London, sampe ke Belanda pun ada".
For the first time my dad surprised me by saying, "Why don't you buy ticket to London and visit Sarath there?" and suddenly I was kind of "WHAT? Really? You allowed me to go there? But you will pay for the ticket, won't you?". He said "Yes, but please ask your brother to join".
Gile gak tuh gue rasanya kayak disodorin jodoh di depan mata saking senengnya wkwkwkwk padahal gak tau sih rasanya disodorin jodoh tuh kayak gimana. Intinya seneng banget lah. Sayangnya, gue cuma bisa cuti 5 hari plus weekend 2 hari.7 hari broooo mana cukup keliling Europe tapi gue coba kalkulasi harinya dulu. Akhirnya gue muter otak, buka internet, bikin table buat itinerary. Yang pasti gue masukin adalah visit Sarath and Chrisna who (in fact) currently live in Bremen, and of course Pete in Dresden. Sumpah miss him banget dan dia udah ilang 2 tahun ini. Gue juga nanya Sarath gimana kira-kira kalo cuma punya waktu seminggu. Dia bilang emang sayang sih and I really knew that it was such a waste of money karena tiketnya udah mehong tapi lo gak bisa eksplor maksimal. Akhirnya yaudah setelah gue begadang bikin itinerary, gue membatalkan niat itu.
Akhirnya gue bilang ke nyokap mau ke Korsel aja sendiri karena Mas Asong gak dapet cuti and nobody else crossed my mind to be my companion at that time. Trus kata nyokap "Why do you always to go abroad sih dek? C'mon Indonesia has more beautiful places than out there". Oh oke yaudah gue bilang, "Oke kalo aku gak boleh ke Korsel, aku bakal ke Kalimantan ya". Trus nyokap jawab "Kalimantan? Ada apa emang ke Kalimantan? Udah lah dek mbok pergi ke Solo aja gak usah jauh-jauh". Ngek ngok kan zzzzz -__-
Emosi dong gue kan. Gue bilang "Yaudah deh bu nih ya aku kasih gambaran kalo di Korsel itu, ibu gak perlu kuatir karena public transportation is everywhere. Aku juga akan ke tourist area for sure kayak waktu di Vietnam atau Kamboja dulu aja. Kalo mau keliling, aku bisa ikutan travel. Sedangkan di Kalimantan itu angkot super duper susah, lokasi antar satu destinasi ke destinasi lainnya jauh banget. Nah ibu sekarang pilih lebih rela aku ke Korsel apa Kalimantan". Then she seemed to be confused before finally saying, "Udah lah dek mending di rumah aja atau ke Solo". Yeah, beat my ego because I bought a ticket to Banjarmasin right after that. My parents didn't know. Only one way to Banjarmasin while I had no idea where I would be coming back from.
